Photography field trips go where the shooting is good to discover how to shoot it better.

• Learn new techniques, master your equipment, and get expert tips on composing and processing images.

• Share your work, and get feedback from other imagemakers.

• Immerse yourself in the art of photography.

The following skills will be addressed in photo field trips & workshops:

• basics of camera operation, including, where appropriate, manual exposure settings (ISO, aperture, shutter speed, depth of field)

• selecting lenses and understanding their effect on composition

• strategies for stalking good shooting locations and good shots

• principles of image composition & evaluation

• seeing, understanding and using qualities of natural light

We are happy to plan and schedule a custom field trip or workshop to meet the needs of an individual or group.

*** Please note that all workshops have a rain date specified, but workshops won't be postponed on account of rain unless it's going to be an all day soaker. Rainshowers that sprinkle on and off and threatening clouds can provide some of the greatest backdrops for photography. Nature's natural softbox (cloud cover) can reveal colors to fill a photographers dreams!
